Why Florida, and when it is not for you
Florida is right when you actually touch the state: clients here, property here, import and export through the ports, a business you visit. It is also right when what you want is a registered agent who is a person in your own time zone rather than a company that forwards mail once a week. It is the wrong answer if you run an online business from abroad and the only thing you care about is cost — Wyoming is $100 to form and $60 a year against Florida's $125 and $138.75, and we publish the whole table so you can check us. Tell us what you are doing and if Florida is not your state we will say so before you pay.
The EIN without an SSN
The IRS issues an EIN to a responsible party who has no Social Security Number. It is done on Form SS-4 and it is not a workaround — it is the documented path. Filed the way we file it, it normally comes back within one business day. We handle the filing and the follow-up, and if the IRS takes longer, you hear it from us before you have to ask.
What you actually receive
Articles of Organization stamped by Florida, your EIN confirmation letter, the registered agent designation on the Sunbiz record, and a compliance calendar that starts with the annual report due before May 1 — the one that costs $400 extra if it slips. The Operating Agreement comes with Scale, or as an add-on to any package; get it before you apply to a bank, because that is the document they ask for. Everything in one place, downloadable, yours.
What we do not do
We do not form companies in the other 49 states — that is the whole point of doing one well. We do not give U.S. legal advice, we do not prepare or file your U.S. tax returns, and we do not promise you a bank account, because the bank decides and no honest provider can promise otherwise. We walk you through the application on the platforms that do open for non-residents.
